Stabilizing the App's Entry Experience

2025.07.23Technical Log#product-ui#playback#content

Improved initial screen stability by aligning background video transitions, loop boundaries, and data loading timing at app launch.

The first screen a user sees at launch directly shapes their perception of the product. When background video is interrupted or loop boundaries misalign during the transition from splash to onboarding, the disruption degrades the quality of the entire entry flow. This update revisits that sequence at the scene level to ensure transitions render consistently.

Background video transitions and loops are coupled directly to playback state, not just UI rendering. When the mount state of the video and the timing of the next screen transition are out of sync, inconsistencies appear on the first screen. The fix aligns transition points and loop boundaries to playback behavior as the reference.

Data synchronization and cache handling were also addressed in the same pass. Ensuring the entry screen loads content from a consistent source reduces instances of empty or late-appearing content. A reliable, consistent state at every launch is a foundational requirement for sustained product trust.
