Aligning Visual Standards Across Onboarding and Mini Player

2025.09.30Technical Log#product-ui#content

Visual inconsistencies across screens — from app launch through the minimized player state — have been resolved under a unified design standard.

Visual standards had diverged across the app's key surfaces: splash, onboarding, mode transitions, and the mini player each carried different conventions for motion, typography hierarchy, and layout treatment. The result was a lack of cohesion across the end-to-end experience.

This work addressed visual consistency rather than feature additions. Title hierarchy was redefined on the explore and home screens. Consistent transition motion was applied across mode switches. The mini player was restructured to clearly surface the currently playing content. Display rules for moment and inst content — across recommendations and browse — were aligned to a common standard.

Visual coherence does not appear in feature lists, but it directly affects perceived product quality. The objective was to ensure that distinct screens read as a single, unified experience rather than a collection of independent surfaces.
