Mini Player Visual and Playback Consistency

2025.10.04Technical Log#product-ui#playback#content

Redesigned the mini player's visual language and playback controls to ensure consistency across modes, and synchronized remote control state with in-app playback.

The mini player, persistently visible at the bottom of the screen, is among the most frequently perceived UI elements in the app. Inconsistent color and spacing across modes creates visual discontinuity during content transitions, degrading the coherence of the overall experience.

This update removed unused properties from the mini player and recalibrated its color, spacing, and expand/collapse animations. A direct playback action for moments was added to the mini player, reducing the steps required to transition from audio to video content. Lock screen and Now Playing remote controls were connected to the same playback state as the in-app interface, eliminating discrepancies between external controls and app state.

Recommendation and session card display logic was unified under a single rule set, and session resume entry points were restored in the home and library views. Content that had previously been governed by inconsistent per-screen rules is now aligned to a consistent standard.
