Sleep Routine Consolidated into a Single Flow

2025.10.28Technical Log#sleep#product-ui#playback

Content selection, alarm setup, and session saving are now unified into a single sleep-entry flow rather than separate screens.

The sleep feature comprised three distinct actions — content selection, alarm setup, and session saving — each handled on separate screens. Requiring navigation between screens and repeated decisions immediately before sleep directly degrades the experience.

This update redesigns the sleep-entry flow. Content selection, alarm configuration, and session saving are unified into a single continuous sequence. Extraneous timeline display has been removed from this context, leaving only the relevant controls. The mini player and playback state were also updated to ensure display and state remain consistent after leaving the sleep screen, with seamless resumption on return.

The session save-and-restore path was also improved. Reliable restoration of saved sessions on subsequent entries is a prerequisite for flow consistency. The objective is to minimize decision steps at sleep entry and maintain saved sessions in a dependable state.
