Rebuilding Screens Around Scenes, Not Features
Consolidated fragmented content display rules across screens and restructured the entry flow for consistent behavior throughout the app.
The app's key flows — initial launch, reels browsing, and recommendation surfaces — each operated under separate display rules. The same moment and inst content appeared differently depending on the screen, and these inconsistencies degraded the overall browsing experience.
This work focused on removing duplicate presentation logic and consolidating fragmented display rules rather than adding new functionality. A unified standard was applied across moment, inst, recommendation, and discovery surfaces. The entry flow from splash to onboarding was also restructured as part of this pass. The result is not fewer screens, but screens that share a consistent structural contract.
With this consolidation, identical content surfaces uniformly regardless of context. Entry flow consistency is now enforced at the structural level, providing a stable foundation for subsequent feature development.
