Keeping Audio in Sync with Reels Playback
Fixed audio and video state misalignment during reel transitions, ensuring playback state remains consistent across scene changes.
When swiping through reels quickly, the video would advance to the next scene while audio lagged behind, or residual audio from the previous item would persist unexpectedly. When video transitions, audio state, and playback indicators update on independent timelines, users immediately perceive the inconsistency. These misalignments do not surface in feature specifications but directly degrade the reliability of the playback experience.
On the playback side, the update logic was restructured so that audio state and UI indicators respond to the same signal during video transitions. Effector and reverb processing was corrected to apply consistently along the active playback path, effect gain leakage was resolved, and instrument processing was refined. On the UI side, swipe navigation and content display flow were made more consistent.
The objective was to ensure that playback state is maintained without interruption regardless of when or how a transition occurs.
