Refining Screens for Coherent Product Experience
Addressed inconsistencies in content presentation, reel playback synchronization, and diary entry flow introduced during the initial release.
The initial screens prioritized fast delivery, resulting in inconsistent card presentation standards across moment, inst, discovery, and recommendation surfaces. Visual quality varied between screens within the same app. This work focused on reducing that variance.
Content exposure criteria were standardized so that discovery and recommendation cards follow a unified visual language. Reel playback synchronization was improved to ensure video, audio, and effector state remain consistent across swipe transitions. Effector and reverb application was also aligned to track cleanly with playback state.
The diary entry flow was simplified to reduce friction between intent and action, improving the likelihood that users complete an entry. These consistency improvements directly reduce the quality degradation points encountered by first-time users.
